Chiropractic

Occupational Therapist
Overview: Occupational therapists help individuals with physical, mental, or developmental impairments regain or improve their ability to perform daily activities through personalized therapy plans. They work in various settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, aged care facilities, and community centers.
•Assessment Authority: OTC
Skills Assessment Requirements:
- IELTS: 4 x 7 (Academic)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (China-based qualifications are not recognized)
- 6 months of full-time internship for applicants with overseas degrees

Speech Pathologist
Overview: Speech pathologists assess and treat communication disorders, including difficulties in speech, language, fluency, and literacy. They also assist patients with swallowing difficulties. Registration or licensing is required.
•Assessment Authority: OTC
Skills Assessment Requirements:
- Qualification equivalent to that of an Australian speech pathologist.
- OET: 3 scores of A and 1 score of B (other English tests are not accepted)
- For those who graduated more than 5 years ago: Over 1,000 hours of work experience in the past 5 years

Audiologist
Overview: Audiologists provide diagnostic assessments and rehabilitation services for individuals with hearing impairments

Skills Assessment Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a strong connection to the nominated profession
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant post-graduation work experience (pre-graduation experience not recognized)

Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapist
Overview: Medical imaging professionals operate X-ray and other imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images in collaboration with radiologists and other medical practitioners.
• Assessment Authority: Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT)
Skills Assessment Requirements:
- IELTS: Overall score of 7.0 or higher (Academic or General), valid for 3 years
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a strong connection to the nominated profession
