The Professional Year Program (PY) is a 44-week 44-week career development program authorized by the Australian Department of Home Affairs. It is designed for international graduates in Information Technology (IT))Accounting and Engineering. Completing this program not only earns an additional 5 migration points,but also enhaces emplyability and prepares graduates for a successful professional career in Australia

Program Structure

  1. Classroom Learning (32 Weeks)
    Covers Australian workplace culture, interview techniques, resume writing, communication skills, and other practical knowledge to help integrate into the Australian workplace.
  2. Internship (12 Weeks)
    Provides practical experience in a real business environment, builds industry connections, and may lead to formal employment opportunities.

Three Key Fields of Study

  1. Information Technology (IT):PY graduates in IT can waive the 1 year work experience requirement, for professional assessment and directly qualify with their degree and PY certification.
  2. Accounting:Accounting graduates can meet professional assessment requirements with an IELTS score of 6 in all bands plus the PY course, bypassing the higher requirement of IELTS 7 in all bands.
  3. Engineering:Engineering graduates gain migration points and valuable industry experience through PY, boosting their eligibility for skilled migration applications.

  1. Educational Qualification: Must have completed an Australian degree (bachelor’s or higher) in a relevant field.
