Types of Partner Migration Visas
1. Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300)

Key Features:A temporary visa requiring the applicant to travel to Australia and marry within the visa’s validity period. After marriage, the applicant may transition to a partner visa.
2. Onshore Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801)
Who is it for? Applicants who are married or in a de facto relationship, applying from within Australia.
Key Features:Start with 820 (temporary) visa. After 2 years, applicants may provide supporting documentation to apply for the 801 (permanent) visa.
3. Offshore Partner Visa (Subclass 309/100)
Who is it for? Applicants who are married or in a de facto relationship, applying from outside Australia.
Key Features:Start with 309 (temporary) visa. After 2 years, applicants may submit further documentation for the 100 (permanent) visa.
